An Irish lifestyle and celebrity magazine RSVP has described Donegal Town as the “ultimate destination”.

In an article recently published titled ‘24 Hours in Donegal Town: Best dining, nightlife, stays and things to do’ the magazine explored the various attractions Donegal Town has to show. 

“For an unforgettable day trip in Ireland, Donegal Town is the ultimate destination,” RSVP said. “Whether you’re a foodie, a coffee enthusiast, or an avid shopper, this picturesque town has something for everyone for the perfect day out.

The review forms part of a series which has explored 48 Hours in Galway and ‘Hidden Gems in Derry City’. The article focused on Donegal began at The Old Stone which is “Ideal for a relaxed breakfast or a refreshing coffee break, this spot boasts a beautifully designed space that complements its inviting atmosphere,” RSVP continued.

Following on, RSVP highlighted the many unique shops the town has to offer such as Hollie + Evie, a boutique founded by sisters and Triona a Donegal tweed store.

Next for the history enthusiasts “a visit to Donegal Castle is a must,” the magazine stated. “This beautifully restored 15th-century stronghold offers guided tours that delve into the castle’s storied past and the O’Donnell clan who once resided there. It’s a fascinating glimpse into the rich heritage of the area.”
