Eamonn Rothwell and Clodagh Moreland’s stake in firm is worth a combined €170m
Irish Ferries boss Eamonn Rothwell and his wife have engineered another multi-million euro share transfer between them, as they continue to reap the benefits of the company’s stock trading back near an all-time high.
Filings with the stock exchange for Irish Ferries owner Irish Continental Group show that Mr Rothwell (69) transferred almost €51m worth of shares during the week to his wife, Clodagh Moreland (61). The shares – just over 9.4 million of them – were transferred at no cost to her.
