The I-T-A-A has issued advice for those hoping to travel Stateside.

That’s local police in Florida warning residents to evacuate immediately.

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall tonight and forecasters are expecting the worst.

That means any holidaymakers, including from Ireland, will either be cancelling or re-arranging their travel plans this week.

Clare Dunne, CEO of the Irish Travel Agents Association, has this advice for those with plans to leave in the next few days:

“People who are due to travel within the next 24 to 48 hours most likely have already been contacted by their travel agent or tour operator, so if you’re due to travel in the next three to four days contact your travel agent.”

Anyone due to make a trip or book a trip to Florida soon, is advised to wait at least 24 hours until the Hurricane has hit.
