A NUMBER of Irish supermarkets have revealed their opening hours for the June bank holiday weekend.
Many around the country are already looking ahead to the sunny bank holiday and stocking up on garden and BBQ supplies.
But for those hoping to pick up some last-minute bits and pieces before the long weekend, be aware that opening hours may vary.
Several shops across Ireland have adjusted their hours to accommodate shoppers and staff over the busy weekend.
Many will operate at regular working hours, while others opt to open later than usual.
Here is a full breakdown of the list of the opening hours for Irish supermarkets over the June bank holiday.
TESCO
Most Tesco shops will operate normal working hours across Friday May 31 and Saturday June 1.
They will be open from 8am until 11pm.
The chain will operate Sunday hours on Sunday and the bank holiday Monday, meaning the shop will open at 10am and close at 8pm.
As always, it’s best to double-check opening hours at your local supermarket.

LIDL
Lidl has opted to run on its usual business hours over the bank holiday weekend.
It will be open from 8am until 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and 9am until 9pm on Sunday.
Monday will be open from 8am until 10pm but Sunday hours will likely be implemented. Check your local Lidl, just in case.
ALDI
Aldi will operate similarly to Lidl and stay open during normal working hours.
This means the supermarket will be open from 9am until 10pm on Friday and 9am until 9pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Some stores will operate weekend hours on Monday, but as this may vary, check your nearest Aldi.
DUNNES STORES
Dunnes Stores will operate regular working hours on Friday and Saturday, with the shop being open from 8:30am until 8pm.
But on Sunday and Monday, the shop will be open on Sunday hours, opening at 9am and closing at 8pm.
This may vary; check your local Dunnes Stores, just in case.
SUPERVALU
SuperValu has also chosen to operate normal hours across Friday and Saturday but are working on Sunday hours for Sunday and Monday.
This means Supervalu will be open 8am until 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and 9am until 9pm on Sunday and Monday.
FOOD RECALL
Separately, a popular alternative milk product has been pulled from the shelves at Dunnes Stores over safety fears due to a packaging issue.
Batches of Dunnes Stores Soya Drink have been recalled due to a packaging issue which may cause spoilage.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland stated that the affected batches are being recalled due to a packaging error that may lead the drink to spoil.
This is caused by a packaging issue which may expose the product to air, causing it to spoil way faster than its expiration date.
The warning applies to all Dunnes Stores Soya Drink pack size 1Litre with the best-before date of 13/03/2025.
It does not affect other Dunnes Stores’ alternative drink products.
Customers are urged not to drink the affected product.
All Dunnes Stores are requested to remove the affected products from the shelves to prevent sales
