The specially commissioned kit for the 2024 Irish News Ulster All-Stars has been officially launched and the Irish News is delighted to welcome Kingsbridge Private Hospital group as title sponsor for this year’s event.
At the launch of the kit, the new design was modelled by 2023 Irish News All-Star winners Antrim hurler Paddy Burke, Antrim camog Caitrin Dobbin and Down footballer Natasha Ferris.
The new kit, which features the Kingsbridge Private Hospital logo, has once again been created by O’Neills Sportswear.
The awards will culminate in an evening of celebration on September 27, when the four winning teams will be revealed and the Player of the Year winners from each code announced.
This year, the event has moved to a brand new location – ICC Belfast. Moving to the largest purpose-built conference centre in the north marks another step forward in the rapid progress of the awards scheme.
Present at the launch of the kit was CEO Kingsbridge Private Hospital group, Mark Regan.
“We are delighted to continue to be involved with the Irish News Ulster All-Star Awards and this year announce our headline sponsorship having supported the sport locally for a number of years at both club and county levels,” he said.
“Our partnership with the Irish News Ulster All-Stars came about through our shared values in GAA – community, health and wellbeing, family and teamwork, all attributes we champion throughout our own organisation.
“Many of our staff members and their families are closely involved with GAA themselves.
“Some play, referee, coach, cheer on their children from the sidelines and use their medical skills to volunteer and support their local teams; whilst others specialise in performing surgery, sports physio and rehabilitation when required.
“It has been a real thrill to see the heights to which this event has grown in our local sporting calendar. I, and the Kingsbridge team, are very much looking forward to what will no doubt be a fantastic evening, showcasing, celebrating, and encouraging the immense GAA talent that we have here across camogie, hurling, ladies’ football, and men’s football.”
