Ireland’s industrial policy is at a crossroads, with warnings that our waning corporate tax advantage – alongside a growing infrastructure deficit – poses a big challenge to the FDI sector that has propelled the economy for decades.

The decision by the European Court of Justice to order tech giant Apple to pay almost €14bn in tax due to Ireland has brought renewed focus on the sector – but it may not be the biggest challenge it faces.
