The top features a gorgeous square neckline with contrast trim and a bow detail designed to elongate the neck and accentuate the collarbones.

And it comes in a ribbed texture, featuring long sleeves and lettuce hems.

The stylish skirt features an elastic waistband for assured comfort and a trendy contrasting trim.

Geraldine added: “It has an elasticated waist and it’s stretchy, with a white detail on the bottom of it.”

Dunnes Stores designers said: “This Savida maxi skirt, the most casual and comfortable of all skirts, is crafted to provide an elegantly stylish appearance.”

Geraldine combined the two new gorgeous additions into a beautiful outfit that completely took her followers’ breath away.

The outfit is ideal for work or a special occasion during the autumn and winter seasons.

She added: “I absolutely love it.”

The new additions are sold separately, meaning that they can be mixed and matched, making them the perfect wardrobe staple as they can simply elevate your everyday clothes.

The contrast trim top would be fabulous to be worn with a midi skirt or jeans and a handbag, making the whole outfit a ‘New Yorker’ theme, which is a huge hit in New York City and Chicago.

It’s the ideal outfit to stay warm during the autumn as temperatures slowly drop.

‘You look gorgeous’

The new pieces, available in a sleek black colour, come in sizes XXS to XXL.

And they are available to purchase online and in stores nationwide.

Geraldine’s followers were left “obsessed” with her fabulous finds at Dunnes Stores and rushed to the comments section to gush over the outfit.

One person wrote: “I love it, you look so beautiful!”

Another person added: “That’s so pretty, you look gorgeous!”

The third person said: “Fabulous on you, I’ll be checking that out for work.”

The fourth added: “I’m obsessed with the outfit, love it!”

Dunnes Stores shoppers have also gone wild for a new cream fleece that’s arrived in stores.

The Longline Popper Fleece has landed on shelves in stores nationwide and is available online.

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 – and it was an instant hit.

Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.

During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.

Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.

The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.

“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.

“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”

The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.

They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.

“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”

Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.
