ITTN’s Julia Labedz attended an Agent Training Dinner hosted by Caribtours, a leading luxury travel tour operator which aimed to educate travel agents on the latest trends, exclusive offers, and premium experiences that are on offer for clients seeking sun, sea, and luxury across the globe.
The event took place in The Ivy, beginning with a speech by Alan Sparling, Founder and Managing Director of ASM, who discussed the event and the suppliers present at the dinner.
The evening’s presentations were carried out during the meal service and came from an impressive lineup of speakers, each representing some of the best brands in the luxury travel world, from all-inclusive getaways to bespoke island escapes.
The Presentations
Alice Otton from Hyatt All Inclusive showcased Hyatt’s stunning portfolio of all-inclusive properties across Europe. Alice spoke passionately about the Hyatt Dreams and Secrets brands, which promise an elevated all-inclusive experience with top-tier service and amenities. Both brands are designed to cater to guests looking for a seamless, stress-free holiday with all the bells and whistles.
Joss Brennon covered Shangri-La’s luxury properties in Oman, from the coastline of Muscat to the desert, Joss detailed how Shangri-La Oman properties blend natural landscapes with the brand’s signature hospitality and elegance. Attendees were also treated with an exclusive inside look into Shangri-La’s Mauritius property, now fully renovated and set to open in October.
Candice Yang from Clear Marketing introduced a range of exclusive resorts, such as the Viceroy range, a unique BodyHoliday offering in Saint Lucia and the Ocean Hotel series, such as the Beach Club and Spa and the Seabreeze Beach House. Candice highlighted how all of these top-tier destinations can truly be tailored to individual clients, making for an ultra-luxurious experience.
Beth Lewis from Sunlife Resorts took the audience through Sunlife properties in Mauritius, and shared the many ways Sunlife Resorts can cater to honeymooners, families, and those looking for some adventure, with each property offering unique experiences, and above all – helping clients immerse themselves into true Mauritian culture.
Gill Shannon from JA Resorts & Hotels continued by presenting JA’s properties in Dubai, Seychelles, and the Maldives. She spoke about the authenticity of these resorts, which offer a blend of relaxation and adventure mixed with culture and great food. Additionally, Gill emphasised JA’s focus on sustainability, and highlighted that JA Resorts provide guests with a sense of place, while indulging them in world-class luxury.
Franz Taylor from the Bahamas Tourist Office shared some insight into the Islands of the Bahamas, taking a look at the 16 main ones, all offering a different experience from swimming with pigs, fishing for some great game or deep-sea diving in one of the worlds biggest ocean holes. Franz’s enthusiasm for the islands was infectious!
Prize-Giving
The Caribtours Agent Training Dinner came to an end with a prize-giving, where several lucky agents were awarded incredible prizes.
Congratulations to all, beginning with Linda Jones from The Travel Boutique, who received a 5-night stay in Mauritius, courtesy of Joss Brennon from Shangri-La.
Elaine Massey from Best4Travel who secured an unforgettable 6-night stay at Hyatt’s Dreams branch in Lanzarote, generously offered by Alice Otton from Hyatt All Inclusive.
David O’Hagan from Donabate Travel was presented with a spa hamper, courtesy of Candice Yang of Clear Marketing.
Additional lucky winners include Paula Cross from Platinum travel, Lisa Doohan from Ray Tracey Travel, Helen O’Flaherty from the World Travel Centre and Carol Anne O’Neill from Worldchoice, who each respectively won a monetary voucher from Beth Lewis from Sunlife Resorts, a 3 Night stay in JA Palm Tree Court in Dubai from Gill Shannon representing JA Resorts and hotels, and finally a goodie bag courtesy of the Bahamas Tourist Office presented by Franz Taylor.
