James Blunt has taken a dig at Ryanair to announce his new Dublin show.

The You’re Beautiful singer is going on tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his album Back to Bedlam, where he’ll be ‘performing the seminal album in its entirety plus all the classic hits.’

Sharing the tour dates, there was an Ireland shaped hole in his lineup. The singer, who is famously sarcastic and self-deprecating on social media, asked his followers on Twitter (X) ‘Should I add a Dublin show?’

Known for their cattiness on social media, the Ryanair account flatly told the singer ‘no,’ However, not to be outdone for comebacks, James response proved that he probably won’t be flying with Michael O’Leary’s airline when he comes to Dublin.

Announcing that he’s playing the 3 Arena next March, James quoted Ryanair’s post on the site, simply captioning the tweet ‘F**k you, Ryanair.’

Fans thought the comeback was hilarious, with one person joking that Ryanair ‘will probably deliver you to Cork anyway.’

‘EasyJet are clear,’ another wrote, while another added ‘Love when James Blunt gets spicy.’

James’ 20th anniversary tour for Back to Bedlam kicks off in South Africa on Thursday (September 12), with the European leg of the tour starting in February when he heads to the SSE Arena in Belfast.

The final tour date will be in Dublin, when he heads to the 3 Arena on March 6 — with tickets going on sale next Friday (September 20).
