Kenya’s Moses Kemei won the Dublin Marathon on Sunday with Asmirach Nega of Ethiopia earning victory in the woman’s race.

Kemei crossed the line in a personal best time of 2:08.46 with Ethiopia’s Abebaw Desalew second in 2:09.23.

Dublin runner Hiko Tonosa broke the Irish record with 2:09:42 to finish third and win the national marathon title.

Nega took the woman’s event in a record time of 2:24.13 with last year’s winner Sorome Negash second in 2:24:45 and Grete Dukale completed an Ethiopian one-two-three by finishing third in 2:28:29.

Ann-Marie McGlynn ran 2:34.04 to win the Irish women’s national title and Sean Frame of Scotland was the wheeelchair victor in 1:45.14.
