Kerry and Galway has produced some fine encounters over the years as one would expect from two counties that value playing attacking football. Since 2013 – when a few of the current Kerry and Galway panels were involved – Kerry and Galway have played in some high profile and thrilling matches, including National League Division 1 and Division 2 finals.

Both sides have players that have been ever present with the likes of Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh, Lorraine Scanlon, Cait Lynch, Anna Galvin and Eilis Lynch giving remarkable service to the green and gold for over a decade, with Ní Mhuircheartaigh just ahead of Scanlon in terms of longevity having made her debut in 2008 and Scanlon in 2009.
