Castleisland Desmonds haven’t had the time, or indeed the inclination, to rest on their laurels, or sit back and enjoy their handiwork, as they confounded the odds to become Kerry and Munster club senior ladies football champions this season.

Instead, constantly fuelled by a burning desire to keep this fairy-tale journey going, Dan Kearney’s charges have, in the last fortnight, immersed themselves in preparations for this Saturday’s daunting trip to Dublin for an All-Ireland semi-final clash with Kilmacud Crokes.
