Dublin is a great city, but it is not meeting its potential. A major reason for that is that public safety has declined since the pandemic. The streets were surrendered during the lockdowns and they need to be reclaimed for the public.

Across Europe, police are supported by personnel offering softer surveillance and an official presence on the streets. These are often called wardens.
