Primeline Logistics announced it will create 400 new jobs through the opening of its €50m distribution facility in Meath.
The supply chain company, which is Ireland’s largest independent provider of logistics services, employs around 1,100 people across its operations in the Republic which are largely based in Meath, making it a leading employer in the county.
“We are currently recruiting for a variety of positions across IT, operations and sales for this state-of-the-art facility,” said chief people and culture Officer at Primeline Nikki Mullin.
The warehouse is a net zero energy building and is three times the size of the Croke Park pitch, adding to the company’s footprint which currently includes 10 industrial units in Ireland and the UK.
“The development of this hub along with our investment in new technologies, is a product of careful planning and strategy,” said Primeline Group chief executive Tim Cummins.
Primeline’s fleet of vehicles completes over 25,000 deliveries to more than 7,500 outlets around Ireland each week.
The announcement by Primeline signals health in Ireland’s supply chain which has come under severe pressure in recent years amid inflationary pressures.
