Here’s a bit of free advice to the Office of Public Works (OPW) which won’t cost the €600,000 of public money earmarked in an advert for public relations expertise released on Thursday morning. The ad has since been pulled, mere hours after it went up but no amount of PR can fix an extraordinarily expensive bike shelter housing wet bikes.
At least the OPW demonstrated its ability to be able to see the writing on the wall when they sought someone to, among other things, “outline the opportunities and challenges facing the OPW with respect to its public profile and reputation”.
