The budget airline revealed that foggy weather may cause disruptions to flights on Friday, December 27.

Passengers travelling to or from Ireland on this date should check their Ryanair app for the most up-to-date information on their flights.

Ryanair acknowledges the inconvenience but notes that such weather conditions are beyond their control and impact all airlines operating in and out of Ireland.

They said: “Affected passengers will be notified and any passengers travelling to/from Ireland on Fri 27 Dec should check their Ryanair app for the latest updates on their flight.

“We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by these weather conditions, which are outside of Ryanair’s control and affect all airlines operating to/from Ireland Fri 27 Dec.”

The airline is now working to minimise any disruption and will notify affected passengers directly.

The forecast is looking to see a major shift from this weekend as temperatures are expected to drop and wind will pick up in the coming days.

Carlow Weather’s Alan O’Reilly said: “It’s another dull and damp, foggy day unfortunately but it is still mild, at least for this time of the year.

“It’s going to stay cloudy, I’m afraid, through the weekend and into the early days of next week.

“It will turn breezier, especially from Sunday, and Monday and Tuesday as well.”
