The North Face store, which opened yesterday, marks a major milestone for the centre with its flagship store experience.

Spanning 2,500 sq. ft., the store features a sleek design with timber walls and solid wood flooring, offering collections in menswear, womenswear, kidswear, footwear, and accessories.

Leasing Director at Falcon AM Sharon Walsh expressed her excitement about the new addition.

She said: “We’re incredibly excited to see The North Face open a flagship store here in Blanchardstown Centre.

“Our customers will be thrilled with the addition of The North Face adding to our diverse mix of retail and leisure brands.

“Alongside a host of other exciting openings over the past few months, today’s opening attests to the resilience of Ireland’s retail market and the ‘prime’ space Blanchardstown Centre offers.”

The four new openings are set to create over 40 new jobs just in time for Christmas.

This comes after Omniplex Cinema Group has just revealed plans to open a five-screen cinema at Nutgrove Shopping Centre in Rathfarnham.

Located on the first floor of the Centre, Omniplex Nutgrove will offer a premium cinema experience with 50 ‘Pullman’ style sofas in each of its five auditoriums, complete with footrests for maximum comfort.

The cinema will feature state-of-the-art Barco Laser Projection and Dolby Audio sound, ensuring an immersive movie experience.

For adults, a beer and wine lounge will serve themed cocktails and refreshments, adding a unique touch to the movie-going experience.

Omniplex has committed more than €3 million to the development, which will create up to 20 full and part-time job opportunities in the local area.

Mark Anderson, Director of Omniplex Cinema Group, shared his excitement.

‘Couldn’t be more excited’

He said: ”It is hard to believe that, by the time Omniplex Nutgrove opens, Rathfarnham will have been without a local cinema for 70 years and we couldn’t be more excited to bring it back.

“Our elevated cinema experience in Nutgrove will feature all ‘Pullman’ style double and single sofas in five, intimate 50-seater auditoriums offering the latest blockbuster movies.”

Steven Stocks, Centre Manager of Nutgrove Shopping Centre, also was delighted about the new opening.

He said: “We are excited to welcome Omniplex Cinema to Nutgrove Shopping Centre.

“It is a fantastic entertainment addition and much sought after use which is missing from our local community.

“This closely follows the opening of Maxi Zoo and Oakberry which were also great additions to the Centre.”

The ‘Pullman’ style sofas at Omniplex Nutgrove are designed for luxury and comfort, offering 50% more legroom than standard cinema seats, ensuring the best viewing experience possible.

Omniplex Nutgrove is opening just in time for an exciting movie lineup for 2025, including films like Avatar: Fire and Ash, Captain America: Brave New World and the Fortnite movie.
