It’s being reported that British authorities will travel here to assist Gardaí.
A significant Garda operation will be in place around the Aviva Stadium tomorrow.
British police will also assist as England make the trip to Dublin for a Nations League fixture.
It’s a rare occasion for England to play the Republic of Ireland on Irish soil but twice in six months is once in a blue moon.
In April – the Girls in Green hosted the Lionesses which went off without a hitch.
But Gardaí won’t be taking any risks this weekend.
Conor Lally from The Irish Times says 3,000 England fans will be in the Aviva Stadium, but it could be more:
“I think that represents about 5% of the capacity of the stadium. Inside the ground they will be avery small group.”
But Gardaí expect thousands more English fans to come over, to savour the atmosphere, to socialise and so on,” he added.
They’ve made it clear to travelling fans that a public drinking ban will be strictly enforced.
