A young woman is understood to have suffered serious facial injuries in the incident outside her home in Dublin 24.
A MAN has been charged in relation to an alleged assault on a woman in south Dublin on Thursday night.
The man who is aged in his 20s was due to appear before Dublin District Court on Saturday morning in relation to the assault.

Gardai said they has responded to an assault on an adult female around 9.50pm on Thursday.
“The injured woman was transported to Tallaght University Hospital, where she is receiving treatment. Her condition is understood to be stable and non-life-threatening,” the spokesperson said.
A man known to the woman was arrested near the scene and questioned at Tallaght Garda Station.
“A man (20s) arrested as part of this investigation has now been charged,” a garda spokesperson said.
“He is expected to appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court, Court No. 2, at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30 am this morning, Saturday 21st September 2024.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
