A man has been arrested after two other men were injured during a house robbery in Finglas, Dublin 11, in the early hours of this morning,

Gardaí received report of a robbery in progress outside a home at Finglas Place at approximately 1.30am.

Officers from Finglas Garda Station backed up by the Armed Support Unit arrived on the scene where they arrested one man.

The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to a garda station in north Dublin where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Two other men, aged in their 60s and 70s, were taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment.

Their injuries are described as non-life threatening.

Gardaí added that investigations are ongoing.
