“A male entered the business premises on Loughlinstown Drive and threatened staff with a knife”

A man has been arrested in Dublin by gardaí investigating the armed robbery of a business premises last month.

The man, in his 50s, was arrested by gardaí in Shankill this morning.

He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) following the robbery in Loughlinstown, Dublin 18 on Sunday, July 27.

“At approximately 4.30pm, a male entered the business premises on Loughlinstown Drive and threatened staff with a knife and stole a sum of cash from the premises,” gardaí said.

“He left the scene on a pedal cycle.

“No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.”
