A man in his 80s, who was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Co Louth on Thursday, has died.
The incident happened at around 6.40pm on the N1 in the townland of Plaster, north of Dundalk.
The man died of his injuries this afternoon.
A man in his 60s and a child were hospitalised for injuries that are no life-threatening.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Road users with camera footage who were on the N1 between 6.15pm and 6.45pm on Thursday are asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station on 042-398-4800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
