Gardaí have been made aware of an incident on the northside.

A man has received treatment for a dog attack in North Dublin at the weekend.

Gardaí were alerted to an incident on the Ballyshannon Road in Kilmore, Dublin 5.

The man is believed to have suffered a number of injuries.

The dog has since been restrained and handed over to the Dog Warden.

Gardaí say their investigations are ongoing.

It follows another incident involving a dog attack in Dún Laoghaire earlier this month.

A woman was treated in St Vincent’s Hospital for her injuries.
