A man in his 30s arrested on Monday as part of an investigation into a fatal shooting in west Dublin almost two years ago has been released without charge.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing and a file will be prepared for the DPP.

On 5 December 2022, Cormac Berkeley, 34, was ambushed by a gunman as he sat in a car in the driveway of his home at Harelawn Park in Neilstown, Clondalkin.

He was treated at the scene but was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information in relation to this shooting to contact Lucan Garda Station on 01-666-7300 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.
