The incident happened this afternoon.

A man has been rushed to hospital after an alleged knife attack in Clondalkin. 

This attack happened at around 2.30 this afternoon, on the Fonthill Road.

Dublin Live is reporting a knife attack was carried out near the pedestrian entrance to the Foxdene Housing estate. 

The victim – a man – was rushed to Tallaght Hospital for treatment.

Gardai have described his injuries as serious but non-life-threatening at this time.

No arrests have been made. 

In a statement this evening, a garda spokesperson said:

“Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following reports of an incident of assault, that occurred at a location off Fonthill Road, Dublin 22, this afternoon, Friday 13th September 2024, at approximately 2.30pm.

“A male was brought to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment for injuries believed to be serious but non-life-threatening at this time.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
