The magical gift-giver who has been leaving little pieces of stone art around the public spaces of Shankill, bringing a moment of light into the lives of those who have found them, said he does it because it costs him nothing yet it means something to those who find them.
True to the spirit of Christmas, Joe – whose surname shall remain a mystery – has been busy sprinkling goodwill around Shankill village, in south Dublin, with the stealth of an elf, leaving decorated stones on the park benches in Shanganagh for the children, and even on the benches outside Brady’s pub for the adults to decorate the mantelpiece or add a bit of a weight to a Christmas stocking.
