Motorists should expect delays this evening as congestion caused by a multi-vehicle collision on the M1 near Drogheda, Co Louth, clears.
The collision, which involved an overturned truck, occurred on the M1 between Julianstown and Duleek – around 2 kilometres south of Drogheda – at around 4pm this afternoon and led to the closure of two lanes.
The driver of the truck received non-life threatening injuries in the collision.
The road has since reopened after closures and local diversions were in place.
Motorists were advised to consider a different route as a result of the incident on the northbound road and were urged to drive with caution, reduce their speed and obey instructions from emergency services.
Earlier, a man was injured by a vehicle in an incident near a Luas stop this afternoon.
There were delays for commuters following the crash by the Kingswood Luas stop in west Dublin.
The crash occurred on Bóthar Katharine Tynan by Kingswood Luas stop.
The incident was later cleared and roads reopened, with some knock-on disruption.
