Insurance provider RedClick is the new commercial partner of dublinbikes.
Since its launch in 2009, dublinbikes has completed over 38 million journeys, becoming an essential transport option for Dubliners and visitors alike.
The partnership was confirmed by Dublin City Council and JC Decaux Ireland, and will run for three years. All of the bikes will be branded in RedClick livery.
Part of the Generali Group, a global leader in insurance and asset management, RedClick entered the Irish market in 2024 and serves over 250,000 customers with a team of 400 across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The two partners stressed a shared commitment to promoting sustainability, road safety and healthier lifestyles. The sponsorship will also strengthen RedClick’s brand awareness in Ireland.
The new RedClick dublinbikes were unveiled at Hanover Quay yesterday and will be visible on the streets of Dublin from November 23rd. As part of the partnership RedClick branding will also feature on docking station terminal screens, service vehicles, the dublinbikes.ie website and the official dublinbikes app.
“dublinbikes is more than a transport scheme; it is a vital part of Dublin’s identity,” said Lord Mayor of Dublin James Geoghegan.
“With RedClick as our partner, we look forward to ensuring that RedClick dublinbikes remains at the heart of our sustainable transport initiatives.”
“Our sponsorship of dublinbikes reflects RedClick’s commitment to community support, sustainability, and simplicity,” added General Manager of RedClick, Lorenzo Ioan.
“Guided by our lifetime partner strategy, we believe in making insurance easy and smart, just as dublinbikes offers a simple way to get around the city.”
“Through this partnership, we’re proud to promote cycling as a complementary transport option that supports road safety, reduces congestion, and contributes to healthier communities. This sponsorship not only boosts our visibility as a new brand in the market but also reinforces our commitment to doing business in Ireland and supporting the communities in it.”
“We are delighted to welcome RedClick as our new partner,” said Joanne Grant, Managing Director, JCDecaux Ireland.
“Their innovative spirit aligns perfectly with the values of dublinbikes, and we are excited to be working with the team in RedClick to promote the benefits of the scheme and serve the community in Dublin together.”
