Flight Club, on 35/36 Dawson Street, has undergone an extensive €7m renovation and will open it’s doors on February 7.
It will combine a world-class cocktail menu with high-tech social darts, a concept the co-founders have already brought to the UK, Australia and the US.
In 2012, Steve Moore and Paul Barham were catching up in a Devon pub where a young crowd were going crazy over a game of darts in the corner that was “loud, fast and exciting”.
“We’ve reinvented darts for the 21st century, developing a range of fast and exciting multi-player games built to bring people together and designed to keep you unexpectedly hooked, insatiably entertained and full of joy,” they said.
“Whether you’re an expert darts sniper or a total beginner, everyone has a chance to win when they play Social Darts.”
The two friends had no experience in the hospitality or technology industries, but they surrounded themselves with people who knew what they didn’t.
“Over 200 of our friends threw one million test darts. Thanks to them, our first customers, Flight Club transformed from an experience which only existed in Steve’s garden shed to beautiful venues packed with unexpected, ridiculous, joy,” they added.
“Since opening Flight Club Shoreditch in 2015, we’ve witnessed the excitement of Social Darts coming to life, with groups of friends going wild and every throw as energised as the last.
“Throughout the UK, we’ve opened unique venues from Cardiff to Edinburgh to Birmingham to London, each with the same electrifying atmosphere as the first.
“We’ve taken the Social Darts global. With our franchise partners, State of Play Hospitality and NightOwl Entertainment, we’ve opened incredible venues in the USA and Australia.
“The joy of Social Darts continues, with 2024 marking a significant achievement with 500 million darts thrown since our launch, with many more to come.
“Next up on our journey is Dublin. We want to bring the joy of Social Darts to people all over the world, and our next stop is delivering a Céad Míle Fáilte alongside many more darts thrown in Dublin.”
