At the end of a year full of “pinch yourself” moments, Liverpool and Northern Ireland’s Conor Bradley is aiming to round off his memorable season with a win in Tuesday night’s international friendly against Andorra.

Returning to his parent club after spending the 2022/23 season on loan at Bolton Wanderers, the 20-year-old had a breakthrough campaign at Anfield, with a goal and two assists against Chelsea in Premier League action at the end of January bringing his talents to much wider attention.

A League Cup final medal, won against the same opposition at Wembley, would follow the next month.

Having become the first Northern Irishman to find the net for Liverpool since Sammy Smyth in 1954, Bradley’s first international goal came against Scotland in March’s 1-0 win at Hampden Park.

“There’s some pinch yourself moments,” he said.

“Some of it has been a bit mad but I just try to keep my head down and keep working hard. I know I’m not the finished product yet so I have to keep going and keep trying to better myself every day.

“It’s been a mad 12 months, hopefully we can cap it off with a win [against Andorra].”
