A reunion has been hotly anticipated since the band’s abrupt split in 2009, with the feud between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher now thawing in time for the 30th anniversary of their hit album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? next year.
Tickets go on sale at 8am on Saturday for Irish fans, but the band has offered fans the chance to register for pre-sale access.
How do I access the Oasis pre-sale?
A pre-sale ballot was launched earlier this week for fans to gain earlier access to tickets and the deadline to confirm entries was extended until 10am this morning after “a last-minute surge”.
The band has told fans that all pre-sale ballots have now been sent and they will have received an email with pre-sale access information if they have been successful.
Those with pre-sale codes are not guaranteed tickets, but they do give an extra chance ahead of general sale.
When is the pre-sale?
The pre-sale for all Irish and UK dates will get underway from 7pm this evening and will close at 10pm.
Fans who were lucky enough to receive a code have been reminded that it will only work for the account it is registered to and cannot be bought or transferred to someone else.
When is the general sale?
The general sale will begin at 8am on Saturday for Irish dates and at 9am for UK dates.
How much are tickets to the Croke Park gigs?
Tickets are priced from €86.50 and will also be subject to a service charge of up to €10.50. Fans should keep in mind that if they are bringing along any budding Oasis lovers that those under the age of 14 must be seated and cannot have a standing ticket.
Under 16s must also be accompanied by an adult.
How can I make sure I get tickets?
Unfortunately, there is little certainty and much is left up to luck when it comes to securing tickets for such in-demand gigs but there are a few steps fans can take to prepare for the rush.
Make sure you have an account and are logged into Ticketmaster ahead of time. If you cannot remember your password, reset it now and keep it in a safe place.
Dedicated superfans may be able to enlist the help of friends or family who could join the queue with their own accounts.
Ensure you have your payment details nearby or have saved those details to your Ticketmaster account. Once you secure tickets, a small countdown will appear to show how much time you have to complete the purchase before the tickets are released back onto general sale.
Ticketmaster has also advised that fans keep their devices charged, to clear their browser’s cache and avoid using a VPN.
Is it better to wait or to keep refreshing the page once I am in the queue?
Once the queue opens, Ticketmaster will tell fans exactly where they are in the line and they will receive real-time updates.
Do not refresh the page. Ticketmaster has a number of controls in place to prevent bots from gaining access to tickets – refreshing the page may make the system think you are one of these bots and prevent you from accessing the sale.
