Revenue officers also seized a quantity of retail goods.

Over €700,000 worth of drugs has been seized in Dublin and the Midlands.  

In the past week, 17.5 kgs of herbal cannabis and almost 6 kgs of cannabis edibles, was found to an estimated value of over €357,000.

4.7 kgs of cocaine was found with an estimated value of €335,000, alongside various quantities of other drugs, with an estimated value of €1,800. 

5 bullets and 6 bottles of wine where also seized with retail goods to an estimated value of €28,200. 

The drugs originated from a number of different countries and were intended for addresses nationwide.

Two men in their 30s and 40s were arrested and charged by An Garda Síochána in relation to this seizure.  

These seizures are part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting smuggling and shadow economy activity. If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295.
