A popular Dublin sports bar renowned for its huge screens for watching sports has announced that it is closing.
The Living Room, located on Cathal Brugha Street, just a stones throw away from the cities main thoroughfare announced the closure on its social media.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of The Living Room, our beloved sports bar located in the heart of Dublin,” the statement said.
“For years, our venue has been a gathering place for friends, families, and fans from all walks of life who have come together to share unforgettable moments, celebrating major sporting events and life’s milestones together.
“We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal patrons and dedicated staff, who have supported us throughout this incredible journey.
“The Living Room was more than just a venue – it was a place where memories were made, cheers were shared, and a love for sports brought us all together.
“The Living Room will officially close its doors on Monday, the 6th of January.
“While this chapter comes to an end, this is not the end of the story. There is exciting news to come, and we can’t wait to share it with you soon.
“We would like to welcome you all to come join us one last time this weekend, and share a final drink with us before we close our doors.
“With heartfelt thanks and love, The Living Room Team,” added the statement.
The popular venue has become one of the cities most popular sports bars boasting over 50 screens open seven days a week with a huge outdoor beer garden which also served Fibber Magee’s and Murray’s Bar.
