Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2 was without power for an hour this morning from around 8am due to an ESB outage in north Dublin.
DAA said the incident is impacting operations and some delays are likely but flights have been taking off and passengers should come to the airport as normal.
Some passengers are being held outside Terminal 2 as power is being gradually restored, while others have been escorted from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1.
Eva Murphy Ryan told RTÉ News that she has been waiting at the top of a check-in line for more than an hour and that screens are blank and baggage carousels at check in desks are not moving.
She said hundreds of people are waiting in the terminal building and DAA staff are handing out water.
DAA said that more information will follow and people should check the status of their flights with their airlines.
