Primeline Group has announced plans to create 400 new jobs following the opening of the company’s €50m distribution hub in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.
The company is one of Ireland’s largest providers of logistics services.
The newly created positions will be spread across a range of disciplines, the company reported today. Roles are set to be available across the company’s IT, operations and sales divisions.
Primeline currently employs 1,100 people across its operations in Ireland and the UK.
The distribution centre, which is located at Ashbourne Business Park, spans 360,000 sq ft. Primeline currently has ten other industrial units operating across Ireland and the UK.
The logistic group’s fleet of vehicles makes more than 25,000 deliveries to around 7,500 locations across Ireland every week. This follows the development of a logistics network by the group which covers every town in Ireland.
“The development of this hub along with our investment in new technologies, is a product of careful planning and strategy and is also a symbol of the vision we have for Primeline Group,” chief executive Tim Cummins said.
“This company’s success is rooted in their ability to deliver on a first-class customer experience while also keeping an eye to the future of where the growth opportunities lie,” added Enterprise Ireland chief executive Leo Clancy.
Primelline, founded in 1998, moved into sales and marketing distribution in 2011 and currently works with companies, such as Dunnes Stores, Boots and Colgate.
