Those days are long gone when whatever was said on television by reporters was believed to be true. Sometimes television reporting becomes a laughing stock nowadays. This hazard is becoming more prevalent as a result of social media. Recently, one such similar incident is going viral, where a TV report gave a strange suggestion. As per reports, a reporter said on television that a hole on a beach happened due to an astronomical event. The news came into light that the hole was dug by a person, whose video went viral on social media. The video, which went viral on both X and Reddit, showed a man digging a hole on Portmarnock beach in north Dublin using a child’s bucket and spade. The same hole was later shown in a news report, leaving beachgoers shocked as they thought it was the work of supernatural forces. A Virgin Media News reporter said, “A mysterious hole in the beach has caused a stir in north Dublin. A local astronomy enthusiast hopes the crater in Portmarnock Beach may have been formed after a cosmic event.”

Dave Kennedy, a local astronomy enthusiast, saw a weird hole on Portmarnock Beach. They were certain that the little, hefty rock within had fallen from the sky. The reporter even interviewed a supposed expert who said, “As you can see here, there’s a scorch mark on this side. So it must have been the angle at which it came down, and it’s heavy.”

She concluded, “I’m not sure if it’s structure, but we’ll definitely have to find out.” The reporter ended the segment by saying that the “fascinating hole soon caught the attention of passersby” and “many are hoping that what they are seeing is the result of a once-in-a-lifetime cosmic event.”

Later, a video became viral, which resolved the whole situation. It was shared on the official X handle of Virgin Media News. “Meteorite mystery solved! The mystery of the hole on a north Dublin beach has apparently been solved — denting the hopes of a local space enthusiast, who had hoped it was the site of a meteor strike,” reads the caption.

After the video went viral, viewers laughed at the bizarre report. “Virgin Media News is reporting a hole on Portmarnock Beach that could be the result of a cosmic event,” one user commented. Another user joked, “Whatever drugs Dave is on, I want some too.”
