The RIP sign was placed on the now-world famous portal along with two bunches of flowers earlier today.
A co-host host of popular The Daily Show in America has slaughtered the Irish side of the ‘portal’ in her comedy monologue, just as cheeky Dubs left flowers and an RIP sign at the site.
The RIP sign was placed on the now-world famous portal along with two bunches of flowers earlier today.
The portal, and the bad behaviour by Dubliners, has gone viral across the globe.
Desi Lydic, a comedian and actress who is a senior correspondent on the famous late night talk-show ‘The Daily Show’ took aim at the Irish on Wednesday.
Her hilarious rant came after the much maligned NY-Dublin portal was swiftly shut down for “technical” fixes after people were seeing flashing breasts, bums, drugs and photos of 9/11.
“It’s so cool, we need more things to bring us together – let the friendship building begin,” Desi began.
Images and references were then highlighted showing people ‘grinding’, snorting powder and the aforementioned terrorist attack.
“One person showed the world trade centres on Sept 11 and a New Yorker responded by showing potatoes in reference to the famine,” she exclaimed.
This may or may not be a reference to an OnlyFans model who said she wanted her “international potatoes” / breasts to become famous by flashing Dubliners on O’Connell Street.
The Daily Show then played a video of an Irish guy on the news saying “people are trying to better each other to see whose worse, we’re winning so far.”
Joe Duffy could also be heard talking about “wiggling bums” in front of the portal.
Lydic was having none of it.
“Oh come on f*ck me!” she said.
“Why does everything turn into a fight? Do you really think you are winning Dublin?
“New York hasn’t even begun we are built on treating the Irish like shit.”
“You’re just lucky you’re dealing with tourists right now…
“Let’s move the portal to a middle school in the Bronx then we’ll see what happens…
“You’ll be Riverdancing into on coming traffic! When they’re done roasting you!
“We can’t forget most interactions are positive though so thank you to the Irish people for stopping by to say hello…on the way to their AA meetings!
“Boom, got ya bitch,” Lydic concluded.
It is hoped the portal will be switched on again later this week for more ‘shenanigans’.
