Dublin Fire Brigade were called to the scene where a dog was trapped under a shed in Dublin on Friday evening.

Firefighters managed to get the dog named Lizzy out from under the shed safely.

The story also had a happy ending, as the fire fighters deployed from the Dun Laoghaire station were able to return her home to her owner.

Alongside pictures, Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted: “Bit of a ‘Ruff’ day for Lizzy who got stuck under a shed earlier. Firefighters Murray, Beresford and Mooney along with Sub Officer O’Neill from Dun Laoghaire station were happy to ‘fetch’ her and return her to her owner.”
