Ryanair has added more than 6,000 extra seats to/from Dublin and Cork to Scotland, Wales and Italy ahead of this year’s Six Nations Championship, which gets underway next month and runs up to St Patrick’s Day weekend.
Following unprecedented demand from Irish fans, Ryanair has added extra flights on existing key match routes from Dublin to Edinburgh, Cardiff and Rome, and from Cork to Rome.
This year’s championship sees Ireland play France and England at home at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium; but travel to take on Scotland at Murrayfield, Wales at the Principality Stadium and Italy at the Stadio Olimpico.
Ryanair’s Head of Communicationss, Jade Kirwan said: “The Six Nations is always a highly anticipated sporting event for Rugby fans in Ireland and beyond. To celebrate this year’s Championship, we’ve added over 6,000 extra seats from both Dublin and Cork to key match destinations like Edinburgh, Cardiff and Rome, so that Irish fans can enjoy these matches in-person, witnessing all the action first hand from a stadium seat and soaking up the post-match atmosphere experiencing all these iconic cities have to offer.
