Grainne said: “Savida is winning again with this plisse co-ord, perfect for our summer in autumn.

“This is another little number from Savida in Dunnes.

“It’s that plisse material so I thought it was lovely and light, nice for the weather.

“And of course brown for a nice little transition from summer into autumn.”

The stunning co-ord in question is actually sold separately on the retailer’s website.

Available exclusively from the Savida range, the Savida Arianna Tie Front Plisse Waistcoat was the top half that Grainne styled.

This trendy tie top retails for just €20 and has become very popular lately.

The top comes in sizes XXS to XXL, however it is selling out fast online with sizes XS and S currently out of stock on the website.

Dunnes Stores said: “Always on trend, Savida brings you this v-neck waistcoat with a crinkled texture and tie fastenings.

“Pair it with the matching midi skirt or trousers (both sold separately) for an effortlessly chic ensemble.”

Grainne styled the top with the matching Savida Plissé Arianna Trousers.

These pants are also on sale for just €20, meaning shoppers can nab this complete co-ord for only €40.

The trousers come in a variety of sizes ranging from XXS to XXL.

And Dunnes Stores have labelled them as “a wardrobe essential you can style and restyle endlessly.

“These loose-fitting trousers have an elasticated waistband and a crinkled texture.”

However, if trousers are not your style then shoppers also have the option to pair with a matching midi skirt.

The Savida Arianna Plissé Skirt is also available from Dunnes Stores both online and in stores.

And it is retailing for €20 as well – the outfit options are endless.

It comes in black as well as the classic brown shade that Grainne chose.

And is available in sizes XXS to XXL.

Grainne, a business owner, also styled the gorgeous co-ord alongside one of her own products – a shoulder bag.

She chose an off-white shade to compliment the darker brown tones of the co-ord.

Meanwhile, Dunnes fans are in a frenzy over the release of a perfect new fleece for autumn.

The Snap Button Colourblock Fleece costs just €25 and comes in two colour options – navy and green.

As the name suggests, the fleece has two different colours on it, and large buttons up the centre of the chest.

It also has a large middle pocket.

The fleece comes in sizes XS to XL, but fans have been quick to snap up the pieces as the only size left in stock online is XL.

In the official item description on the website, Dunnes Stores chiefs said: ‘A staple for your wardrobe, this colourblock fleece is ultra-soft and provides maximum comfort.

“It features a drawstring waist that allows you to adjust the fit to your preference, as well as zip pockets and a half-placket of snap buttons.”

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 – and it was an instant hit.

Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.

During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.

Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.

The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.

“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.

“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”

The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.

They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.

“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”

Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.
