The luck of the Irish may help travelers score a great flight deal.
Aer Lingus recently released dozens of discounted flights from the United States to Ireland, where the airline is based. The Irish flag-carrier is offering round-trip flights to Dublin and Shannon for under $500, and even has flights across Europe to destinations such as Amsterdam or Rome for under $531.
Travel + Leisure spotted some of the top flight deals include:
- Boston (BOS) to Dublin (DUB) for $434 round-trip
- New York (JFK) to Dublin (DUB) for $434 round-trip
- Orlando (MCO) to Dublin (DUB) for $434 round-trip
- San Francisco (SFO) to Dublin (DUB) for $453 round-trip
The discounted flights are all in Economy Cabin, and have availability between September and November. T+L has previously recommended that September and October are some of the best times to visit Ireland due to the weather, and low tourism volume in popular areas.
For reference, Aer Lingus’ Economy Cabin only includes a single carry-on bag and complimentary meal. Passengers can add on a checked bag and advanced seat selection for a fee.
Dublin Airport features a unique perk: customs pre-clearance. Travelers can save as much as two hours by clearing United States customs and security in the Dublin airport, and basically arrive back into the United States as if they were on a domestic flight. Dublin’s Airport also recently upgraded their airport Wi-Fi to be faster than ever.
Aer Lingus has been matching the increased tourism to Ireland with new flights to make the journey easier. The airline recently launched flights from Las Vegas to Dublin, as well as Minneapolis and Cleveland to Dublin.
T+L recently spotlighted several Dublin hotels in the annual “World’s Best Awards” survey, as voted by T+L readers, including the Merrion Hotel, The Westbury, and The Shelbourne, Autograph Collection.
