There is simply no questioning the character of Horeswood as, a week after a defiant football victory, they demonstrated similar resolve to emerge triumphant from Saturday’s clash of the two previously point-less sides in Group A of The Courtyard Ferns Intermediate hurling championship in Samaritans St. Patrick’s Park.

Tara Rocks have cause to rue not building upon a bright wind-assisted start – forging clear by 1-7 to 0-3 inside twelve minutes – as Horeswood, bolstered by two Seán Nolan goals either side of half-time, got stuck in.
