Louth’s Seapoint Golf Club has been confirmed as the host venue for the 2025 Flogas Irish Men’s Amateur Open Championship.
The news was announced after the conclusion of the 2024 event yesterday by Flogas Ireland Managing Director John Rooney.
Seapoint Golf Club is also set to host the OFX Legends Tour event for a second year from 19 to 22 June, and it is exciting times as they gear up for a busy period according to their Managing Director, Andrew Phelan.
“We’re thrilled that Seapoint Golf Links has been selected to host the Flogas Irish Men’s Amateur Open in 2025. It’s the latest step towards re-establishing Seapoint as a premier championship links on the tournament circuit,” said Phelan.
“We staged the Irish Legends 2023 and look forward to hosting it again this June. So, it’s exciting to welcome elite amateur players from home and abroad, to Seapoint in 2025. The competitors can expect a classic links challenge, a closing stretch like no other in Ireland and a warm Louth welcome in our magnificent new clubhouse.”
This year’s renewal took place at County Sligo Golf Club over the weekend with Malone golfer Matt McClean claiming a two-shot win at the west coast links. And there, Golf Ireland CEO Mark Kennelly welcomed the announcement of next year’s venue.
