The search for a Dublin woman who went missing on St Stephen’s Day has been stood down after the discovery of a body.
Sheila King, 49, was reported missing from her home in Raheny, on Dublin‘s northside at around 2.20pm on Thursday.
On Saturday evening, gardaí revealed that the search for Ms King has been halted after a body was found.
In a statement issued on Saturday evening, a gardai spokesperson said:
‘Following the discovery of a body in North Dublin earlier today, the missing person appeal in respect of Sheila King has been stood down.
‘No further media action is required and no further information is available at this time.’
An Garda Síochána thanked the public for their assistance in the search for Ms King.
