The search operation on open ground in Co. Wicklow, as part of the investigation into the disappearance and murder of Jo Jo Dullard, is expected to continue over the weekend and into early next week.
In a statement, gardaí said: “The search operation on open ground at a location in Co Wicklow near the Wicklow/Kildare border remains ongoing.
“It is expected to continue over the weekend and into early next week.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
Ms Dullard went missing 29 years ago as she was on her way back to Kilkenny from Dublin on 9 November 1995.
The 21-year-old was hitchhiking home to Kilkenny, and took a lift at Moone in Co Kildare, and has not been seen since.
The missing persons investigation was upgraded to murder four years ago.
Gardaí have been searching the lands in Ballyhook, Grangecon in Co Wicklow, as part of the murder investigation.
The site comprises of agricultural land with outhouses, sheds and other buildings, some of which have already been searched.
