After a whirlwind summer of standout performances, SexyTadhg is set to return with a surprise show at Lost Lane, Dublin, on Thursday, September 19. Known for their captivating live performances, the musician has spent the summer season lighting up Ireland’s biggest festivals, including the Mother Pride Block Party, Kaleidoscope, and Beyond The Pale, culminating in a show-stopping appearance on Electric Picnic’s iconic Salty Dog stage.

With high hopes to support breakout star Chappell Roan at her Dublin gig, SexyTadhg received disappointing news that they wouldn’t be part of the tour. However, rather than letting this disappointment linger, the performer has turned the setback into inspiration for their own event, creating what they call a “camp pity party.”

Playfully titled ‘Chappell Roan Broke My Heart’, the surprise event promises to be a fun-filled and celebratory night, bringing fans an unforgettable evening of music, energy, and emotion. And SexyTadhg won’t be going at it alone, as they’re bringing two very special guests to the show, drag performers Anziety and Lavender.

SexyTadhg has built a reputation for pushing creative boundaries, with performances that are authentic, raw, and always unexpected. Their larger-than-life shows have taken over some of Ireland’s most notable stages, from supporting two-time Eurovision winner Loreen at her sold-out show at The Academy, to opening for Cornelia Jakobs, and headlining their own six-date tour across Ireland earlier this year. Tadhg’s fearless approach to performance has earned them widespread recognition, including being named one of The Irish Times’ 50 to Watch for 2024, and winning the prestigious Radical Spirit Award at the 2023 Dublin Fringe Festival.

Whether on stage or in the studio, SexyTadhg continues to surprise and captivate audiences with their bold, theatrical, and deeply personal artistry. Fans won’t want to miss this unique, one-off suprise gig that promises to be a night of vibrant celebration. Tickets are available here.

This event comes at a perfect time, as it leads into the highly-anticipated GALAS, Ireland’s LGBTQ+ awards. The artist will take the stage for an unmissable performance, with the night also featuring Glória LGBT+ Choir as the opening act and Mother DJ Glamo, who will keep the party going until 12:30 with a dynamic set. A full bar will be available for guests, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the night as we celebrate all the work that has been done to better the lives of the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland.
