The west of the country is set to take the brunt of storm Ashley but Dublin is due to be impacted too
Storm Ashley has been making her mark across the country overnight.
The west coast has been worst impacted by the first ‘named’ storm of the season with winds of up to 130km/hr battering the coastline.
County Councils nationwide had been scrambling to put up flood defences, and close car parks near the coastline.
The DCC said yesterday that the boardwalks would be closed, as well as Clontarf and Sandymount car parks.
We’re being urged to keep an eye on weather updates and warnings, as well as staying away from the coast and to be aware of fallen trees or debris.
