Kildare manager Glenn Ryan can look forward to a Tailteann Cup quarter-final against neighbours Laois.

Kildare and Laois will square off in this year’s Tailteann Cup quarter-finals following this morning’s draw.

Glenn Ryan’s team made short work of their group and were expected to be among the challengers for this year’s third iteration of the competition.

Laois, who have already secured promotion to Division 3 next year in Justin McNulty’s second coming as manager, narrowly beat New York yesterday in their preliminary quarter-final.

Down, Tailteann Cup favourites, meet Oisín McConville’s Wicklow. Fermanagh play Antrim while Sligo have been drawn with Limerick.

The ties will be played next weekend, June 18 and 19 with the semi-finals set to be staged in Croke Park.
