TAP Air Portugal has confirmed it will resume flights to Porto Alegre in Brazil early next year.
As part of the announcement, TAP Air Portugal is flagging return flights from Dublin – via Lisbon – starting at €649.29, inclusive of all taxes and charges.
TAP will resume the Lisbon-Porto Alegre route on April 1 and will operate three flights per week using a modern A330-930neo Airbus plane, which has a capacity for 298 passengers.
The flights will be the first on the route since Porto Alegre’s Salgado Filho International Airport was closed in May of this year after major floods.
The flights will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays – departing Lisbon a 1:05pm and arriving in Porto Alegre at 8:25pm local time. Total flight time is 11 hours, 20 minutes – making it one of the longest flights in TAP’s roster.
TAP Air Portugal is Europe’s most connected airline to Brazil, with almost 100 flights per week to 13 Brazilian cities.
TAP Air Portugal flies directly from Lisbon to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Natal, Maceió, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador, Florianópolis and Manaus, as well as connecting Porto to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
