TechIreland will launch its new Irish Ecosystem Portal powered by Dealroom at today’s cross-border networking reception.

The summit, called Innovation Island Connect, is taking place in the RDS Main Hall.

TechIreland says that this new portal gives comprehensive information about the tech ecosystem on the island.

It will also provide access to Dealroom’s global network of more than 100 tech ecosystems from Canada to Australia.

The platform will help promote Irish startups among global investors they add.

It also includes a unique Innovation Island Services Portal which will be free for users to access and free for services firms on the island to feature.

Shane O’Hanlon, Funding for Growth Manager at InterTradeIreland who is supporting the event, is opening the event, followed by the launch of the new all-island portal by Brian Caulfield, Chair of TechIreland.

A survey of participants at last year’s event revealed 650 “solid connections” developed, with Irish and Northern Irish business executives networking to explore potential business opportunities.

TechIreland is partnering with InterTradeIreland to launch the new Irish Ecosystem Portal powered by Dealroom.

“The Irish startup ecosystem is growing across the island, there are real opportunities for tech companies to build their operations on both sides of the border,” said John O’Dea, TechIreland’s Chief Executive.

“The island of Ireland is a thriving innovation hub in Europe, and we look forward to supporting the startup community here,” said Yoram Wijngaarde, Dealroom’s CEO & Founder.
